Salaar Box Office Collection: Worldwide 1st Day Earnings and Movie Review

Box Office Report: Salaar Dominates, Dunki Collections

Pen India Superstar Prabhas’s film Salaar made record-breaking earnings on its first day at the box office. Salaar also achieved fantastic collections on its second day.

Salaar First Day Box Office Performance

Salaar was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, achieving record earnings in each. The film recorded an All India Net Collection of ₹107 crore on its first day across all five languages. In the Hindi market, despite facing competition and fewer screens than Dunki, Salaar collected a net of ₹18 crore on its opening day.

Previously, Prabhas’s film Adipurush, despite receiving poor reviews, had a first-day collection of ₹140 crore.

Salaar Second Day Collections Show Growth

On its second day, Salaar’s screens increased in the Hindi market as shows for Dunki were canceled in many places, leading theaters to allocate more shows to Salaar. This benefited Salaar, as the film collected more in the Hindi market on its second day than on its first. With positive reviews contributing to good occupancy growth, Salaar’s Hindi net collection on the second day was approximately ₹25 crore.

For its All India Net Collection across all languages on the second day, Salaar garnered ₹85 crore. Unlike many South Indian films that see a significant drop on the second day, Salaar’s collection in South India decreased only slightly.

Salaar Two-Day Total Box Office Collections

Salaar’s two-day Hindi net collection totals ₹43 crore. The All India Net Collection for Salaar over two days stands at ₹92 crore across all five languages. The film’s India Gross Collection for two days is ₹229 crore. From the overseas market, Salaar earned ₹33 crore in two days.

The worldwide box office collection for Salaar over two days totals ₹290 crore.

Dunki Box Office Performance and Comparison

Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki, released before Salaar, saw its collections decline day by day after its release.

Dunki’s first-day India Net Collection was ₹29 crore 20 lakh. The second-day India Net Collection was lower than the first day, at just ₹21 crore 10 lakh, partly due to a reduction in screens as Salaar gained more. On its third day (Saturday), Dunki’s morning show occupancy was similar to the second day, but afternoon, evening, and night shows showed better booking. The reported India Net Collection for Dunki on its third day is ₹24 crore 50 lakh.

Dunki’s All India Net Collection over three days totals ₹75 crore 80 lakh. The film’s India Gross Collection over three days is ₹90 crore 35 lakh. From the overseas market, Dunki earned ₹49 crore 70 lakh in three days.

The worldwide box office collection for Dunki over three days totals ₹140 crore 5 lakh.

Collection Comparisons: Salaar vs. Dunki

Salaar’s first-day worldwide collection was greater than Dunki’s three-day worldwide collection. Salaar’s first-day earnings in the India Net market were also more than Dunki’s total three-day earnings in the same market. Salaar’s two-day worldwide collection of ₹290 crore significantly surpasses Dunki’s three-day worldwide collection of ₹140 crore 5 lakh.
