Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal Box Office Collections Update
Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal is currently in its fourth week, performing well at the box office even against the releases of Dunki and Salaar. The film recorded one of 2023’s biggest openings. After a strong first, second, and third week, Animal had accumulated an All India Net Collection of ₹531 crore 29 lakh across five languages in its initial three weeks.
The movie continued its performance in the fourth week, earning ₹2 crore 55 lakh on its fourth Friday. On its fourth Saturday, Animal garnered an India Net Collection of ₹4 crore 10 lakh. With these figures, the film’s total All India Net Collection has reached ₹534 crore 94 lakh. The India Gross Collection stands at ₹638 crore. From overseas markets, Animal has collectively earned ₹232 crore. Globally, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has achieved a total World Wide Collection of ₹870 crore to date. Projections suggest that if the film sustains its run for another week, its final worldwide box office collection could potentially reach ₹900 crore.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki Box Office Performance
Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki saw good collections on its first day. There was a dip in its collection on the second day, but the third day marked a significant jump in earnings. The film, made on an approximate budget of ₹120 crore, was released only in Hindi.
Dunki’s Day 1 All India Net Collection was ₹29 crore 20 lakh. On the second day, the film’s India Net Collection dropped to ₹20 crore 50 lakh. However, the third day witnessed a substantial recovery, with the India Net Collection reaching ₹26 crore 50 lakh. This brings Dunki’s total All India Net Collection over three days to ₹78 crore 20 lakh. The India Gross Collection stands at ₹93 crore 30 lakh. In the overseas market, Dunki has earned more than ₹50 crore in three days, with a total overseas gross collection of ₹54 crore 31 lakh. Consequently, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki has achieved a World Wide Box Office Collection of ₹148 crore within three days. The film has already surpassed its budget in its first three days. Anticipation is high for significant growth in collections over the upcoming Sunday and Christmas holiday.
Prabhas’ Salaar Box Office Dominance
Prabhas’ film Salaar made a historic collection on its first day at the box office, with its second-day collections also proving to be outstanding. Released in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—Salaar performed well in Hindi despite the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, with its second-day Hindi collections being better than the first.
On its opening day, Salaar recorded a World Wide Gross Collection of ₹178 crore 70 lakh, becoming the highest opening film of 2023. This surpassed Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, which previously held the record with a first-day collection exceeding ₹141 crore 8 lakh.
For its second-day collections, Salaar observed growth in the Hindi market and an improved performance in its Tamil version compared to the first day. However, the Telugu states experienced a notable drop in collections on the second day compared to the first, a trend considered normal for Telugu films where first-day earnings are typically high, followed by a decline. The estimated All India Net Collection for Salaar on its second day across all five languages is ₹65 crore. The India Gross Collection for Day 2 is ₹77 crore, with an estimated ₹25 crore from overseas markets. This brings Salaar’s second-day World Wide Collection to ₹102 crore. Therefore, Salaar’s total World Wide Box Office Collection for the first two days stands at ₹280 crore. The film is expected to see even better earnings on the upcoming Sunday and Christmas. Projections suggest that Salaar could achieve a worldwide collection of between ₹550 and ₹600 crore within its first four days, or ₹600 crore in four to five days, with a ₹1000 crore collection considered almost confirmed.
