Salaar Box Office: A Global Performance Update
Pan-India superstar Prabhas’s film Salaar broke hundreds of records globally within its first week. Its earnings continued strongly into the second week. After 10 days in cinemas, Salaar has collected double the earnings of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki, which has been in cinemas for 11 days. The action-packed film Salaar was released worldwide on December 22nd in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film took the biggest opening at the box office in 2023. Following a strong weekend collection, the film’s weekday collections saw a slight dip, but earnings surged again during its second weekend across all languages. The actual budget for Salaar Part 1 is approximately ₹200 crore, with the combined budget for Salaar Part 1 and Part 2 being ₹400 crore.
Salaar Hindi Net Box Office Collections
Salaar’s Hindi net collection for the first 7 days (first week) was ₹110 crore 48 lakh. On its eighth day, the Hindi net collection was ₹6 crore 22 lakh. The ninth day saw a Hindi net collection of ₹8 crore 50 lakh. According to reports, Salaar is earning approximately ₹10 crore on its tenth day from Hindi. With this, Salaar’s total Hindi net collection over 10 days stands at ₹134 crore 20 lakh. The Hindi gross collection in 10 days is ₹160 crore.
Salaar All-Language India and Worldwide Collections
For its first eight days, Salaar collected an India net of ₹389 crore 25 lakh across all five languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada). On the ninth day, the film’s India net collection was ₹13 crore 35 lakh. For its tenth day, Salaar is collecting an estimated India net of ₹16 crore 50 lakh from all languages. The film’s total all-India net collection over 10 days is ₹419 crore 10 lakh. The India gross collection over 10 days is ₹499 crore 56 lakh. From the overseas market, the film has earned ₹138 crore 75 lakh. Consequently, Salaar’s 10-day worldwide box office collection is ₹638 crore.
Dunki Box Office: 11-Day Global Performance
Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy-drama film Dunki was released on December 22nd and has completed 11 days in cinemas. While hopes were high for record-breaking collections, Dunki faced significant competition from Prabhas’s film Salaar. Salaar heavily impacted Dunki’s earnings in South India and performed strongly against it in the Hindi market, leading to less robust collections for Dunki in India. However, Dunki’s overseas collections have been quite strong. With a budget of ₹120 crore, Dunki has achieved a “Clean Hit” status at the box office.
Dunki Day-Wise and Total India Net Collections
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki recorded an all-India net collection of ₹160 crore 22 lakh in its first eight days. On its ninth day, the film’s collection was ₹8 crore 25 lakh. The tenth day, a Saturday, saw a slight growth with a net collection of ₹9 crore 10 lakh in India. Based on reports for its eleventh day, Dunki is making an all-India net collection of ₹10 crore 50 lakh. Thus, Dunki’s total all-India net collection over its initial 11 days is ₹188 crore 7 lakh.
Dunki Worldwide Box Office Earnings
From the overseas market, Dunki has accumulated a total of ₹145 crore. Combining its domestic and international earnings, Dunki’s 11-day worldwide box office collection stands at ₹371 crore.
Animal Box Office: Over a Month’s Collection Achievements
Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was released on December 1st. The film secured the biggest opening of Ranbir Kapoor’s career by earning over ₹60 crore worldwide on its first day. Animal has performed well in India and overseas markets. The film has already been declared an “All Time Blockbuster” at the box office, having been in cinemas for over a month. Its worldwide collection is expected to cross the ₹900 crore mark very soon.
Animal Total Collections Across Markets
Animal’s total all-India net collection has reached ₹545 crore 10 lakh. The all-India gross collection for all languages is ₹652 crore. From the overseas market, the film has earned a total of ₹238 crore. With these figures, Animal’s worldwide box office collection stands at ₹890 crore across all languages.
