Animal Box Office Performance: Fourth Week Surge

Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal is currently running in its fourth week and continues its strong box office run. Released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, the film has completed almost four weeks. Despite a significant reduction in screen count in its fourth week, due to the release of Dunki and Salaar, Animal continues to rake in substantial collections. It is anticipated that the film may run for another one to two weeks, with its final collection expected to be a super blockbuster.

The film’s initial three weeks accumulated an All India Net Collection of ₹531 crore 29 lakh across all languages. In its fourth week, Animal collected ₹2 crore 55 lakh net on its fourth Friday. A slight growth was observed on the fourth Saturday, with India Net Collection reaching ₹3 crore 10 lakh. If the film further collects ₹25 crore in the coming days, its final lifetime collection is projected to reach a minimum of ₹900 crore. With a budget of just ₹150 crore, Animal has emerged as an All Time Blockbuster at the box office.

Dunki Box Office Report: Four-Day Collection Trends

Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki has also been making strong collections. The film, which had a total budget of ₹120 crore including promotions, has surpassed its budget in its first four days of collection. Despite facing major competition from Salaar, a mega-budget action-packed film, Dunki has maintained decent box office earnings.

Breaking down its day-wise performance, Dunki recorded an India Net Collection of ₹29 crore 20 lakh on its first day. On the second day, the film collected ₹20 crore 50 lakh. There was significant growth in collections on the third day, a Saturday, bringing in an India Net Collection of ₹28 crore 50 lakh. Released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, Salaar secured the biggest opening of 2023, both in the Indian and worldwide markets. The film’s second-day collections were also strong, and it continued its powerful run on the third day.

Notably, Salaar received fewer screens compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. However, in terms of collections, Salaar‘s earnings are reported to be three to four times higher than Dunki.
