Shaitaan Box Office: Unstoppable Collection Trends
Superstar Ajay Devgn’s film “Shaitaan” continues its strong box office run. Over four days, the film has achieved rapid earnings across India and the overseas market, generating collections worldwide. Ajay Devgn is noted for bringing low-budget, content-driven films that resonate with audiences across India, leading to substantial box office performance for his movies.
Previously, Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam 2,” a low-budget sequel, also achieved record worldwide earnings. “Shaitaan,” despite not being a sequel or having franchise value, is a low-budget film that earned significantly on its first day. The film’s collections saw a substantial jump on its second day, followed by an outstanding performance on its third day at the box office.
Following a strong three-day weekend, there was an expectation that the film’s collections might slow down on the fourth day, a Monday. However, “Shaitaan” maintained its collection pace on its fourth day, indicating robust performance. This trend suggests the film is on track to become the first Bollywood film of 2024 to achieve an India net collection of ₹250 crore. No other Bollywood film released this year has reached this India net collection milestone. The worldwide collection for “Shaitaan” is projected to potentially reach between ₹350 crore and ₹400 crore.
The horror-drama film “Shaitaan,” directed by Vikas Bahl and starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyothika, has shown strong box office performance in its initial four days. Produced on an approximate budget of ₹60 crore, “Shaitaan” was released on over 3500 screens globally. The film has demonstrated excellent earnings in both India and international markets within its first four days, already achieving ‘Superhit’ status at the box office and is projected to become a ‘Blockbuster.’

On the fourth day, a Monday, the film’s morning show occupancy experienced only a 15% drop compared to its first day. Ticket prices for films are typically reduced starting Monday after higher rates during the Friday-Sunday weekend. Although this reduction caused a slight dip, “Shaitaan”‘s fourth-day collection remained strong despite being a working day, indicating consistent performance throughout weekdays. As per reports, “Shaitaan” is collecting an India net of ₹8.50 crore on its fourth day.
