Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 4: Ajay Devgn's Horror Film Worldwide Earnings and Review

Shaitaan Declared Superhit at Box Office

Superstar Ajay Devgn’s film Shaitaan has achieved superhit status at the box office, earning almost double its budget within just five days. The film saw explosive earnings on its first day and continued its strong performance through the weekend, including on the second and third days, both in India and overseas. Despite concerns about weekday collections, Shaitaan maintained a strong hold on its fourth day and delivered fantastic earnings on its fifth day.

Shaitaan’s Budget and Pre-Release Earnings

The total budget for Shaitaan is ₹60 crore. Prior to its theatrical release, the film generated significant revenue through its rights. The digital rights for Shaitaan were sold for ₹45 crore, and the satellite rights fetched ₹32 crore. This resulted in a total of ₹77 crore earned from digital and satellite rights before the film even released, leading to a profit of ₹17 crore for the producers against its ₹60 crore budget.

Shaitaan India Box Office: Day-Wise Collections

Upon its release, Shaitaan recorded an all-India net collection of ₹15.20 crore on its first day. Over the three-day opening weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), the film accumulated an India net collection of ₹55.1 crore. On its fourth day, Shaitaan secured an India net collection of ₹8.10 crore, which was noted as a good hold. For its fifth day, the film is reported to have collected an India net collection of ₹6.50 crore. This brings Shaitaan’s cumulative India net collection over its initial five days to ₹70.73 lakh. The India gross collection for the same period stands at ₹84.31 crore.

Shaitaan Crosses ₹100 Crore Worldwide in Five Days

Shaitaan has demonstrated strong performance in overseas markets, collecting ₹15.68 crore from the international circuit within its first five days. Combining its India gross and overseas collections, the film’s total worldwide box office collection for the initial five days has reached ₹102 crore. This marks Shaitaan’s entry into the ₹100 crore club globally within less than a week of its release.

Shaitaan’s Box Office Performance Trend

The film’s performance trend indicates a consistent run, with strong collections on the first three days, a good hold on the crucial fourth day, and fantastic earnings on the fifth day. This was significant as many films typically see a drop in collections on the fourth day, marking the start of working weekdays. Looking ahead, another Bollywood film, Yodha, is scheduled for release three days later, which will lead to a reduction in Shaitaan’s screen count. The film’s performance on fewer screens in its second week will determine if its lifetime collection reaches ₹150 crore or ₹300 crore.
