Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection: Aamir Khan, Kuberaa, Dhanush, and Housefull 5 Updates

Sitare Zameen Par: Day 1 Box Office Performance

Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par took a significant worldwide opening on its first day. The film received no major response in advance bookings. However, upon release, it made a better start on its opening day at the box office.

The comedy-drama sports film was released on approximately 5000 screens worldwide, with 3200 screens in India. The film’s budget is ₹80 crore, as Aamir Khan, being the producer, did not charge a fee. Before its release, Sitare Zameen Par recovered ₹57 crore through the sale of satellite rights for ₹45 crore and music rights for ₹12 crore. The digital rights have not yet been sold.

On its first day, Sitare Zameen Par saw good show allocations and decent occupancy in multiplexes during morning shows. However, single screens did not receive a particularly strong response. Evening and night show bookings were decent.

As per initial reports, Sitare Zameen Par is estimated to achieve an India net collection of around ₹9.5 crore on its first day. The India gross collection is approximately ₹11.29 crore. Internationally, the film was released on roughly 1700 to 1800 screens and received an adequate response, collecting approximately ₹6.5 crore from the overseas market on its first day.

The first-day worldwide box office collection for Sitare Zameen Par stands at ₹17.79 crore. While this opening is considered somewhat low given Aamir Khan’s star power, it represents good earnings for the film relative to its budget on its first day. A big jump in collections is anticipated over the upcoming Saturday and Sunday. The film is expected to not incur losses even with a worldwide collection of ₹150-₹200 crore, and it would achieve ‘superhit’ status if its worldwide collection surpasses ₹200 crore.

Housefull 5: 15-Day Box Office Total

Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 continues its strong collection in its third week. The film, with a budget of ₹225 crore, was released on June 6 and initially faced no competition, leading to robust earnings in its first week. Its second week also saw good collections due to the absence of major Bollywood releases.

However, with the commencement of its third week and the release of Sitare Zameen Par, Housefull 5 has experienced a significant reduction in screen count. The film is currently running on approximately 700 to 800 screens across India, with fewer shows. Despite this, the occupancy for these limited shows has been fantastic.

Housefull 5 recorded an India net collection of ₹174.99 crore in its first 13 days. On its 14th day, the film added ₹3.26 crore to its India box office. With the reduction in screens, collections have notably decreased on its 15th day, with Housefull 5 collecting an estimated ₹1.75 crore India net.

The total India net collection for Housefull 5 over its first 15 days is ₹179.10 crore. The total India gross collection stands at ₹213.12 crore. From the overseas market, Housefull 5 has earned ₹55.98 crore to date. The cumulative worldwide collection for Housefull 5 in its first 15 days is ₹69.10 crore.

A substantial increase in earnings is anticipated over the upcoming Saturday and Sunday. There is still hope that the film’s worldwide lifetime box office collection could reach at least ₹300 crore.

Kubeera: Day 1 Worldwide Collections

The pan-India film Kubeera has also made a strong start at the box office on its first day. The action-drama social thriller, featuring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, was made in Tamil and released in five languages worldwide: Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The film did not receive a significant response in Dhanush’s main market, Tamil Nadu, on its first day. However, due to Nagarjuna’s presence, Kubeera saw very good collections in the Telugu states. Overall, the film is performing decently in Tamil and adequately in Telugu. In the Hindi market, collections were quite low due to less promotion and fewer screens allocated.

Kubeera was released on approximately 3500 screens worldwide across its five languages. The film’s total budget is ₹120 crore. Before its release, Kubeera had already recovered ₹76 crore through the sale of digital rights for ₹47 crore, satellite rights for ₹20 crore, and music rights for ₹9 crore.

On its first day, Kubeera achieved an India net collection of ₹7.5 crore across all languages, with an India gross collection of ₹8.92 crore. The film received a very good response in international premieres, collecting approximately ₹5 crore from the overseas market (premiere plus first day).

The first-day worldwide box office collection for Kubeera is ₹14.42 crore. Given that tomorrow is Saturday and the day after is Sunday, a significant jump in the film’s collections is expected in the coming days.
