“Sitarae Zameen Par” Box Office Performance
Superstar Aamir Khan’s film “Sitarae Zameen Par” performed better than expected at the box office on its first day of release. A significant surge in the film’s collections was noted on the second day. Many had anticipated the film would open with a maximum of ₹7-8 crore, but it surpassed expectations by earning considerably more on its opening day. The film received positive feedback from the audience, contributing to the substantial jump in its second-day collections.
“Sitarae Zameen Par” Day-Wise and Total Collections
On its first day, “Sitarae Zameen Par” collected an India net of ₹11 crore 68 lakh, surprising many who had expected around ₹8-9 crore or ₹9.5 crore. The film saw good growth on its second day, with morning shows receiving a much better response compared to the previous day. Afternoon, evening, and night show bookings for the second day were also significantly higher than the first day. The film is estimated to collect approximately ₹14.5 crore as its All India Net collection on its second day.
With these figures, the film’s India net collection for its initial two days stands at ₹26 crore 18 lakh, while the India gross collection is ₹31 crore 15 lakh. The film’s overseas earnings have also shown a good increase, despite a slow start. Due to positive reviews, overseas market collections for the second day have seen substantial growth. “Sitarae Zameen Par” has collected approximately ₹13 crore 222 lakh in the overseas market within its first two days. The total worldwide box office collection for “Sitarae Zameen Par” in its initial two days is ₹44 crore 37 lakh. The film’s budget is ₹80 crore.
“Kubera” Box Office Update
The action-drama social thriller film “Kubera,” featuring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, saw a strong performance despite initial low buzz. The film’s reviews, which emerged after the first show, were super positive. It won the hearts of the Telugu audience, and despite slow bookings in Tamil Nadu, the collections from that region were also impressive. The film’s first-day earnings significantly exceeded expectations.
“Kubera” India and Worldwide Collections
“Kubera” was released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada – across 3000 screens worldwide, with a budget of approximately ₹120 crore. On its first day, the film achieved an All India Net collection of ₹13 crore 29 lakh, which was better than the predicted ₹6-7 crore opening. Unlike other South Indian films that often see a drop on the second day, “Kubera” maintained its hold. While there was a slight dip in occupancy on the second day compared to the first, it was not as significant as typically observed. Morning shows experienced only a 7-8% drop compared to the previous day, and afternoon, evening, and night show bookings were at the first-day level.
As per reports, “Kubera” is collecting approximately ₹12.5 crore as India Net collection across all languages on its second day. This brings the film’s total All India Net collection for the first two days to ₹25 crore 79 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹30 crore 81 lakh. The film’s foreign earnings are also strong, having collected ₹10 crore 16 lakh in the overseas market so far. The worldwide box office collection for “Kubera” in two days stands at ₹40 crore 97 lakh. An increase in collections is fully expected on Sunday.
“Housefull Five” Box Office Journey
“Housefull Five,” directed by Tarun Mansukhani and starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, J.K. Swaroop, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan, had a budget of ₹225 crore and was released on June 6. The film performed strongly for two weeks due to a lack of competition. However, with the release of Aamir Khan’s “Sitarae Zameen Par” in its third week, “Housefull Five” saw a significant reduction in its screen count. Despite fewer screens, the film continues to perform well against newer releases, with collections still in crores.
“Housefull Five” Cumulative and Daily Earnings
On its third Friday (15th day), “Housefull Five” earned ₹1 crore 87 lakh at the Indian box office, performing slightly better than anticipated. Collections further grew on Saturday (16th day) due to it being a weekend. Morning show occupancy on the 16th day was good, similar to the previous day, while afternoon, evening, and night show bookings were considerably better due to Saturday. The film is estimated to collect approximately ₹2 crore 50 lakh as India Net collection on its 16th day.
The film’s All India Net collection for its first week (7 days) was ₹133 crore 58 lakh. In its second week, “Housefull Five” maintained a good hold, collecting an India Net of ₹43 crore 51 lakh. With the 16th-day collection, the total India Net collection for “Housefull Five” in its initial 16 days is ₹181 crore 46 lakh, and the India gross collection is ₹215 crore 93 lakh. The film has collected ₹72 crore 111 lakh in the worldwide market so far. With a budget of ₹225 crore, the film has earned over ₹272 crore worldwide. A substantial jump in collections is expected on Sunday, and the film is projected to achieve a lifetime worldwide box office collection of at least ₹300 crore, potentially becoming a hit.
