Shahid Kapoor’s Deva Completes One Week at Box Office
Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde’s action thriller film Deva, directed by Roshan Andrews, had a budget of approximately 85 crore. The film has now completed seven days in cinemas. While initial buzz suggested Deva could earn 200-300 crore, the lack of promotion meant it received a decent opening. Collections saw growth over the weekend, but dropped during weekdays.
Deva’s India net collection for the first five days was 24 crore 73 lakh. On its sixth day, the film earned 2 crore 31 lakh. For its seventh day, with occupancy dropping compared to the previous day, Deva is collecting an estimated 2 crore 10 lakh in India net. This brings the film’s total India net collection for the first seven days to 29 crore 14 lakh, with an India gross collection of 34 crore 65 lakh. Worldwide, Deva has collected 47 crore 50 lakh in its first seven days.
Naga Chaitanya’s Tandem Records Strong Advance Bookings
The Telugu romantic action drama film Tandem, directed by Chandoo Mundhe and starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, is set to release on February 7. Despite its release still being some time away, the film has secured significant advance bookings.
Tandem has recorded 2 crore 17 lakh in advance bookings from the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) alone. Its all-India advance booking collection stands at 2 crore 82 lakh. The film’s overseas advance booking collection is 2 crore 54 lakh, bringing its total worldwide advance booking collection to 5 crore 36 lakh. These advance booking numbers are notably better compared to Naga Chaitanya’s previous films.
Vidaamuyarchi Achieves Record-Breaking First-Day Collections
Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, and Arjun Sarja’s Tamil film Vidaamuyarchi was released across approximately 3000 screens worldwide in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. With a budget of 50 crore, the film had already made significant pre-release recoveries: 110 crore from digital rights, 55 crore from satellite rights, and 15 crore from music rights, totaling 190 crore.
Vidaamuyarchi has taken the biggest opening of 2025 in the Tamil cinema, becoming Ajith Kumar’s career-highest opener. On its first day, the film recorded an estimated gross collection of 30 crore in Tamil Nadu. It also collected approximately 4 crore from Karnataka, 3 crore from the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), and 2 crore 50 lakh from Kerala. In North India, including Hindi dubbed, Tamil, and Telugu versions, the film earned around 50 lakh. This totals Vidaamuyarchi’s first-day India gross collection to approximately 43 crore. The film’s first-day overseas gross collection is estimated to be around 17 crore, leading to a worldwide box office collection of approximately 60 crore on its opening day. The opening performance has been described as a blockbuster.
Badass Ravi Kumar Shows Promising Advance Booking Performance
Himesh Reshammiya’s upcoming film, Badass Ravi Kumar, set to release on February 7, has made an impressive impact with its advance bookings. The film’s advance booking collections have already surpassed the first-day collections of Himesh sir’s previous films, setting new records in the pre-sales category.
For its first day (Friday), Badass Ravi Kumar has recorded an advance booking of 2 crore 94 lakh. Saturday’s booking stands at 53 lakh, and Sunday’s at 8 lakh. This brings the total advance booking for the opening weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) to 3 crore 25 lakh. The film’s makers have already recovered its budget, making any box office earnings pure profit.
Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force Declared Superhit After Two Weeks
Akshay Kumar’s film Sky Force, also featuring Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan, has successfully completed 14 days in cinemas. The film’s first week saw sensational collections, and despite competition from a larger film like Deva and reduced screen counts in its second week, Sky Force continued to earn tremendously. The film has received positive reviews across the board.
Sky Force had accumulated an all-India net collection of 123 crore 31 lakh within 12 days. On its 13th day, the film added 1 crore 68 lakh to its India box office. For its 14th day, with occupancy showing a drop compared to the previous day, Sky Force is estimated to collect 1 crore 50 lakh in India net. This brings the total all-India net collection for the first 14 days to 126 crore 49 lakh. The film’s India gross collection has crossed the 150 crore mark, reaching 150 crore 42 lakh. Globally, Sky Force’s total worldwide box office collection stands at 163 crore 74 lakh after two weeks, making it a superhit.
