Box Office Update: Emergency Film Collection

The historical political drama film “Emergency,” featuring Kangana Ranaut as both lead and director, was released on January 17. The film is currently in its third week but has largely exited cinemas. “Emergency” is running on approximately 100-150 screens nationwide, with very few daily shows. The film’s collection is reported to be over.

“Emergency” was produced on a budget of ₹60 crore. Its total All India Net Collection stands at ₹22 crore 53 lakh, while the India Gross Collection reached ₹26 crore 1 lakh. Overseas Gross Collection for the film was ₹3 crore 3 lakh. Consequently, the worldwide box office collection for “Emergency” totaled ₹30 crore 12 lakh. With a budget of ₹60 crore, the film’s global earnings were around ₹30 crore, making “Emergency” a significant flop at the box office.

Fateh Box Office Performance and Worldwide Earnings

The action-packed film “Fateh,” directed by and starring Sonu Sood alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vijay Raaz, was released on January 12. “Fateh” has completed almost four weeks in cinemas and has now largely concluded its run across India, with only about 50-60 shows remaining and its earnings significantly reduced.

“Fateh” had a budget of ₹18 crore. The film’s All India Net Collection reached ₹23 crore 18 lakh, and its India Gross Collection was ₹27 crore 61 lakh. From the overseas market, the film earned ₹3 crore 72 lakh. This brings “Fateh”‘s total worldwide gross collection to ₹31 crore 33 lakh, surpassing its budget globally. The digital, satellite, and music rights for the film were also sold for high prices, indicating that the makers of “Fateh” were in profit.

Deva Box Office Collection: First Five Days Report

The action-thriller film “Deva,” starring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde and directed by Roshan Andrews, has been in cinemas for five days. “Deva” faced significant competition from “Sky Force,” which was released the previous week. Despite this, the film secured decent earnings on its first day.

“Deva” was released on approximately 2300 screens in India with a budget of ₹85 crore. On its first day, the film achieved an India Net Collection of ₹5 crore 78 lakh. Collections saw good growth on the second and third days, leading to a weekend (three-day) India Net Collection of ₹19 crore 83 lakh. On Monday, its fourth day, “Deva” collected ₹3 crore 68 lakh in India Net Collection. Early reports for its fifth day indicate an estimated India Net Collection of ₹3 crore 10 lakh, with morning show occupancy dropping by approximately 15% compared to the previous day, and bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows also slightly lower.

Cumulatively, “Deva”‘s initial five-day India Net Collection stands at ₹24 crore 2 lakh, with an India Gross Collection of ₹28 crore 75 lakh. The film’s worldwide collection within five days has reached ₹31 crore 10 lakh, earning over ₹31 crore globally.

Sky Force Box Office Milestone: 12-Day Collection

Superstar Akshay Kumar’s “Sky Force,” which was released last week, has now completed 12 days in cinemas. “Sky Force” secured the biggest opening for a Bollywood film in 2025 and is the first Bollywood film of 2025 to cross ₹100 crore in the Indian market. While other Bollywood films released this year (approximately five to six) had not even reached ₹30-40 crore in net collection, “Sky Force” received a positive reception from the public.

The film’s opening was strong, and its first-week collections were impressive. Even with “Deva” releasing in its second week, “Sky Force” maintained excellent earnings. On its second Saturday and Sunday, “Sky Force” performed better than “Deva” in terms of collections.

“Sky Force” has a budget of ₹80 crore for production costs. Notably, Akshay Kumar did not take a fee for the film but will receive a share from its profits, including digital, satellite, music rights, and box office earnings. The film has already earned roughly double its budget.

The India Net Collection for “Sky Force” in its initial nine days was ₹111 crore 70 lakh. On its second Sunday (Day 10), the film added ₹4 crore 80 lakh to its India Net Collection. However, on Monday (Day 11), a significant drop in collections was observed, with an India Net Collection of ₹2 crore 70 lakh. For its twelfth day, early reports suggest an estimated India Net Collection of ₹2 crore 50 lakh, as morning show occupancy dropped by 20% compared to the previous day, and bookings for subsequent shows were also considerably down.

As a result, “Sky Force”‘s initial 12-day India Net Collection has surpassed ₹123 crore, with an India Gross Collection of ₹146 crore 28 lakh. The film’s 12-day worldwide box office collection stands at ₹158 crore 91 lakh. With these impressive earnings, Akshay Kumar’s “Sky Force” has become a hit film at the box office globally.
