The GOAT Box Office: 17-Day Worldwide Collection Update
Thalaivar Vijay’s The GOAT is currently in its third week in cinemas, continuing its strong box office performance. While the film’s Hindi market collections have decreased, its main Tamil version maintains a spectacular run in Tamil Nadu. The GOAT has also been performing exceptionally well in the overseas market during its third week. Released in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—the film has completed 17 days in theaters.
The GOAT recorded an India Net Collection of ₹231.95 crores within its first 15 days. On its 16th day, the film added ₹2.75 crores to its earnings. Reports for the 17th day indicate significantly better occupancy compared to the 16th day, particularly in Tamil Nadu, due to it being a Saturday. The film’s estimated Net Collection for the 17th day is ₹3.10 crores. With this, The GOAT’s All India Net Collection over 17 days stands at ₹237.80 crores. The India Gross Collection for the same period is ₹282.95 crores. Globally, The GOAT has achieved a Worldwide Box Office Collection of ₹437 crores across all languages in its initial 17 days. The film is anticipated to surpass the ₹450 crore mark worldwide within the next two days.
Stree 2 Box Office: Nearing ₹600 Crore India Net
Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2, made on a budget of ₹80 crores, has already claimed the title of India’s biggest Bollywood blockbuster at the Indian box office and has achieved record-breaking collections overseas. Released on August 15th, Stree 2 has completed 38 days in cinemas and continues to show strong daily collections.
The film’s India Net Collection reached approximately ₹590 crores within its first five weeks. Entering its sixth week, Stree 2 collected ₹4.68 crores on its 37th day (sixth Friday). On its 38th day, a Saturday, the film recorded spectacular occupancy for its morning shows, with strong bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows. The estimated collection for the 38th day is approximately ₹5.50 crores. This brings Stree 2’s total India Net Collection over 38 days to ₹598 crores. It is poised to become the first Bollywood film in Indian cinema history to achieve a Hindi Net Collection of ₹600 crores tomorrow. The film’s India Gross Collection has already reached ₹705.73 crores, and its Worldwide Box Office Collection stands at ₹844.15 crores. Stree 2 is expected to cross the ₹850 crore mark worldwide in the coming days, solidifying its status as an All Time Mega Blockbuster.
Yudhra Box Office: Two-Day Collection Report
Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Yudhra, released this week, saw an impressive initial response. On its first day, the film received a housefull reception due to National Cinema Day, with ticket prices set at ₹99. This led to a very good first day earning, exceeding expectations, with an India Net Collection of ₹4.50 crores.
However, on the second day, a Saturday, ticket rates increased, resulting in a significant drop in occupancy by at least 30% compared to the first day. While the film benefited from the half-holiday in afternoon, evening, and night shows, morning show occupancy was considerably lower. The estimated collection for the second day is ₹1.80 crores. Consequently, Yudhra’s total India Net Collection over two days is ₹6.30 crores, with an India Gross Collection of ₹7.50 crores. The film’s budget is ₹45 crores.
Tumbbad Box Office: Nine-Day Re-release Performance
Sohum Shah’s horror film Tumbbad, re-released after six years, is performing remarkably at the box office, akin to a new release. Despite a first day with fantastic opening and strong first-week collections, the film’s screen count was reduced in its second week due to the release of new Bollywood films. Nevertheless, Tumbbad achieved excellent earnings even with fewer screens.
The film, made on a budget of ₹15 crores, has completed nine days in cinemas. Its initial seven-day collection was ₹14.44 crores. On the 8th day, it collected ₹1.32 crores. Reports for the 9th day indicate a significant drop in occupancy compared to the previous day, which had lower ticket rates, while today’s tickets are more expensive. Tumbbad is estimated to earn ₹1.50 crores on its 9th day. This brings the film’s total India Net Collection over nine days to ₹19.26 crores, with an India Gross Collection of ₹22.93 crores. Including its previous collections, Tumbbad’s total earnings now stand at ₹88.27 crores, classifying it as a Super Duper Superhit movie.
Devara Advance Booking: Strong Overseas Performance
Junior NTR’s upcoming pan-India film Devara, directed by Shiva Kortala and starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, is set for release on September 27th, with just six days remaining. The film’s overseas advance booking is steadily increasing, already generating significant earnings internationally.
Devara’s first-day overseas advance booking has reached $2.32 million, equivalent to ₹19.37 crores in Indian currency. For the weekend, the overseas booking totals $3.10 million, or ₹25.90 crores. With six days still left until release, the film has already accumulated over ₹25 crores from overseas advance bookings alone. India’s advance booking is scheduled to commence tomorrow, Sunday. The film is experiencing low buzz in the North India market, raising concerns about its potential earnings in the Hindi-speaking regions. A second trailer for Devara is slated for release tomorrow, September 22nd.
