Stree 2, Devara, Yudhra, Tumbbad, and The Goat Movie: Latest Box Office Collection & Advance Booking Updates

Tumbbad’s Box Office Resurgence

The Bollywood fantasy horror period drama film Tumbbad, featuring Sohum Shah, was originally released on October 12, 2018. At that time, its lifetime box office collection stood at just ₹1 crore. However, six years later, the film was re-released in cinemas. This time, the film’s collection in its initial first week alone surpassed its previous lifetime collection. While the film saw strong earnings in its first week, screen count decreased in the second week due to new releases. Despite this, Tumbbad performed better in its second week than the films released in the current week.

With a budget of ₹5 crore, Tumbbad has now completed 10 days in cinemas since its re-release. The film accumulated an India Net Collection of ₹19 crore 48 lakh within its first eight days. On its ninth day, the film earned ₹2 crore 40 lakh. On its tenth day, a Sunday, the film showed significant growth in occupancy compared to the previous day and is estimated to have collected approximately ₹2 crore 90 lakh. Consequently, Tumbbad’s total All India Net Collection over 10 days post-re-release has reached ₹24 crore 78 lakh, with an India Gross Collection of ₹25 crore 91 lakh. Including its 2018 collection, the film’s total earnings from both releases now stand at ₹41 crore 26 lakh, making it a super duper hit at the box office.

Yudra’s Initial Box Office Performance

The Bollywood action thriller film Yudra, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malvika Mohanan, Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, and Ram Kapoor, and directed by Ravi Udyawar, received a significant opening on its first day. The film’s first-day collections exceeded expectations, partly because ticket prices were initially below ₹100. However, on the second day, as ticket prices returned to normal, the film’s collections saw a considerable drop, continuing into the third day. Despite this, the third day’s collection proved to be better than the second day’s earnings.

Yudra, with a budget of ₹25 crore, has completed 3 days in cinemas. The film earned more than ₹4 crore 50 lakh on its opening day. Its collection on the second day was ₹1 crore 63 lakh. For its third day, a Sunday, the film received better occupancy compared to the second day, with estimates indicating it is earning approximately ₹2 crore. Thus, Yudra’s total India Net Collection over three days stands at ₹8 crore 15 lakh, and its India Gross Collection is ₹9 crore 68 lakh.

Devara’s Advance Booking Collections

The Pan-India action thriller film Devara, directed by Koratala Siva and featuring Junior NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, is scheduled for release on September 27. While the film’s overseas advance bookings commenced much earlier, India’s limited advance booking in select cities and cinemas began yesterday, receiving a decent response. Full nationwide advance booking for the film is anticipated to start from tomorrow.

Before the full India booking began, Devara had already achieved substantial earnings from overseas advance bookings. The film’s first-day overseas advance booking reached 2.43 million USD, which translates to ₹20 crore 31 lakh in Indian currency. Furthermore, its weekend overseas advance booking amounted to 3.25 million USD, equivalent to ₹27 crore 15 lakh in Indian currency. The film’s first-day overseas booking has surpassed ₹20 crore, and its weekend overseas booking has exceeded ₹27 crore.

Currently in its sixth week, the film’s collections are notably robust, even outperforming other new Bollywood films released this week.

As of its 37th day (sixth Friday), Stree 2 had an India Net Collection of ₹395 crore 10 lakh. On its 38th day (sixth Saturday), the film earned ₹7 crore 53 lakh. Estimates suggest Stree 2 is earning approximately ₹4 crore 20 lakh on its 39th day.
