Box Office Collection Report: The Goat, Thalapathy Vijay, Tumbbad, Border 2, and Stree 2 Total Collection

The Buckingham Murders Box Office Performance

Director Hansal Mehta’s murder mystery thriller, The Buckingham Murders, which features Kareena Kapoor, was made on a budget of ₹40 crore and released on 900 screens worldwide. After six days in cinemas, the film did not receive a substantial opening at the box office. However, it garnered positive reviews, leading to a decent collection in its initial six days. Unlike Kareena Kapoor’s previous film, Crew, which achieved record-breaking collections as a comedy masala drama, The Buckingham Murders is an ‘orbit movie’, which may result in lower total box office figures.

The film collected a net of ₹6 crore 81 lakh in its initial four days. On its fifth day, The Buckingham Murders earned ₹1 crore 1 lakh. The occupancy significantly dropped on the sixth day, with the movie collecting approximately ₹70 lakh. This brings the film’s total All India Net Collection for the initial six days to ₹9 crore 64 lakh. The India Gross Collection stands at ₹11 crore 47 lakh. Globally, the film’s worldwide box office collection for the first six days has reached approximately ₹12 crore 50 lakh.

Tumbbad Re-release Box Office Collections

Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad, a six-year-old film re-released this week, has surprised the box office. Its initial six-day collections are notably better than those of The Buckingham Murders. The film, originally made on a budget of approximately ₹5 crore, had earned a similar amount during its initial release six years ago. However, its current re-release box office collections are significantly higher than its first run.

In its initial four days, Tumbbad recorded an India Net Collection of ₹9 crore 3 lakh. On the fifth day, the film added ₹2 crore 52 lakh to its earnings. The occupancy for the sixth day saw a 15% drop compared to the previous day, with the film earning approximately ₹2 crore 20 lakh. Cumulatively, Tumbbad’s India Net Collection for the first six days of its re-release stands at ₹13 crore 75 lakh. The All India Gross Collection for these six days is ₹16 crore 96 lakh. Including its previous collections, the total box office collection for the film has now reached ₹29 crore 27 lakh. The film is expected to become a super hit at the box office very soon.

Stree 2 Box Office Records and Worldwide Earnings

The horror-comedy film Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik and starring Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, and Rajkummar Rao, was made on a budget of ₹80 crore. The film has completed 35 days in cinemas and is currently in its second month of release. Stree 2 has already surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan in terms of India Net Collection. Based on its increasing daily collections, it is projected to be the first Bollywood film to achieve a ₹600 crore India Net Collection solely from Hindi.

After 33 days, Stree 2 had an India Net Collection of ₹583 crore 35 lakh. On its 34th day, the film earned ₹3 crore 78 lakh. For its 35th day, Stree 2 is estimated to collect approximately ₹3 crore 50 lakh. This brings Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2’s All India Net Collection for the initial 35 days to ₹588 crore 33 lakh. The India Gross Collection stands at ₹694 crore 22 lakh. The film, released only in Hindi, has amassed a worldwide box office collection of ₹831 crore 47 lakh in 35 days. Stree 2 is rapidly approaching the ₹850 crore mark in the worldwide market.

Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT Box Office Journey

Thalapathy Vijay’s action-thriller film, The Greatest Of All Time (The GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu, has completed two weeks (14 days) in cinemas. Despite receiving average reviews, the film has achieved blockbuster earnings, primarily driven by Thalapathy Vijay’s stardom. The GOAT is expected to cross the ₹200 crore mark in Tamil Nadu alone soon and has also performed strongly in other South Indian languages and the Hindi market. Its overseas collections are a blockbuster success. The film was released on a normal day, yet its box office performance is comparable to films released during major festivals like Eid, Diwali, and Christmas.

The GOAT was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. In the Hindi market, the film was released on only 1000 screens with no significant promotion. Despite this, it achieved a Hindi Gross Collection of ₹16 crore 85 lakh in its first week (seven days). The second week’s Hindi Gross Collection was approximately ₹6 crore 75 lakh, bringing the total Hindi market earnings for 14 days to ₹23 crore 58 lakh, classifying it as a clean hit in Hindi.

Considering all five languages, The GOAT has achieved a super duper hit status in the worldwide market. Its India Net Collection for the first 12 days across all languages was ₹219 crore 60 lakh. On the 13th day, benefiting from the Vishwa Sharma Jayanti holiday, the film collected ₹6 crore 75 lakh, surpassing expectations. However, with no holiday on the 14th day, a noticeable drop in occupancy was observed across morning, afternoon, evening, and night shows. The GOAT is estimated to collect approximately ₹5 crore 10 lakh net on its 14th day. This results in an All India Net Collection of ₹231 crore 45 lakh for the initial 14 days, with an India Gross Collection of ₹275 crore 42 lakh. The film has successfully crossed the ₹150 crore mark in the overseas market, accumulating a total of ₹151 crore 38 lakh from overseas. Consequently, Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT has recorded a worldwide total box office collection of ₹426 crore 80 lakh in its first 14 days across all five languages. The film is anticipated to cross the ₹450 crore mark soon.
