Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, with a budget of ₹200 crore, has emerged as this year’s highest-grossing film to date in 2026. The Raja Saab Declared a Big Flop at the Box Office
Prabhas’s pan-India film, The Raja Saab, made on a budget of ₹350 crore, was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film opened with an impressive ₹100 crore-plus on its first day but subsequently saw a daily decline in collections. Despite a decent first-week performance, its second-week collections were significantly impacted by the release of numerous new films and a reduction in screens, leading to a substantial drop.
After 11 days, The Raja Saab had accumulated an India net collection of ₹169 crore 31 lakh across all languages. On its 12th day, the film managed to collect only ₹1 crore 23 lakh from the Indian market. Current reports suggest that the film’s condition has further deteriorated on its 13th day, with morning show occupancy notably lower than the previous day, and a significant drop in afternoon, evening, and night show bookings. On its 13th day, The Raja Saab is estimated to earn ₹1 crore 75 lakh from the Indian market. This brings the film’s total all-India net collection for the initial 13 days to ₹173 crore 29 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹206 crore 21 lakh. According to producer figures, the film has garnered ₹263 crore 45 lakh in the worldwide market. Due to its inability to match its high budget in collections, The Raja Saab has been deemed the first major flop in the pan-India market this year.
