They Call Him OG: Breaking Records on Day 1 - Worldwide Box Office Collection Revealed

Pawan Kalyan’s OG Storms Box Office: Sets New Records

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s film OG has made a significant impact at the box office, becoming the biggest opening of 2025 upon its release. The film surpassed the first-day collection record of Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which was also released in the same year. This achievement is notable as Coolie featured other major artists like Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, and Upendra, while OG achieved its historic first-day earnings primarily due to Pawan Kalyan’s name. The film continues its strong performance on its second day.

OG Box Office Collection Day 1 & Premier Shows

The film De Call Him OG, directed by Sujith, released fully worldwide on September 25th. Prior to its full release, paid premiere shows were held globally on September 24th, earning a net collection of ₹10 crore 26 lakh in India from the Telugu language alone. On its first full release day, September 25th, OG recorded an All India Net Collection of ₹70 crore 87 lakh across all languages. The film’s first-day worldwide collection exceeded ₹150 crore. Director Sujith’s previous film, Saaho with Prabhas, had earned over ₹100 crore on its first day, and now OG has surpassed ₹150 crore on its opening day, establishing Sujith as a major director at the box office. The film, made on a budget of ₹250 crore, earned more than ₹150 crore on its first day, setting a record for the highest first-day earning of 2025.

OG Box Office Day 2 Collection: Strong Hold

OG continued its robust performance into its second day. Despite being released on a Thursday, meaning its second day (Friday) did not benefit from a holiday advantage, the film maintained strong occupancy. The morning shows on the second day saw a drop of only 40-45% compared to the first day, while bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows experienced a 50% drop. As per reports, OG is estimated to earn approximately ₹35 crore 50 lakh in India on its second day. The film was initially released on approximately 5200 screens worldwide. In the Hindi market, with no prior promotion, it secured only 450 screens on day one. However, due to positive reviews, its Hindi screen count increased to 800 on the second day, showing a potential surge in Hindi collections.

OG Worldwide Box Office Total: Crosses ₹200 Crore Mark

The cumulative collections for OG are impressive. Over its initial two days (including premieres, Day 1, and Day 2), the film’s All India Net Collection stands at ₹126 crore 63 lakh. The All India Gross Collection has reached ₹150 crore 68 lakh, indicating that the film has crossed the ₹150 crore mark in India within two days. Additionally, OG has garnered approximately ₹65 crore 90 lakh from overseas markets during the same period. This brings the film’s total worldwide collection for its initial two days to ₹216 crore 58 lakh, significantly surpassing the ₹200 crore mark globally. The film’s worldwide theatrical rights were sold for ₹170 crore, and it needs to earn ₹300 crore worldwide to be considered a hit, a milestone expected to be achieved within its first weekend.

Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Collection: 8-Day Report

Akshay Kumar’s comedy-drama film Jolly LLB 3, which was released last week, saw strong earnings in its first weekend and maintained good collections through its first week. As the film entered its second week, it faced no new Bollywood releases, allowing it to retain a good number of screens. However, OG‘s release in Hindi did manage to pull some screens from Jolly LLB 3. Despite a slight reduction in screens during its second weekend, the film continues to collect in crores. Its initial six days saw an India Net Collection of ₹70 crore. On its seventh day, Jolly LLB 3 collected ₹3 crore 82 lakh at the Indian box office. For its eighth day, reports indicate an estimated collection of approximately ₹3 crore 50 lakh in India, showing a slight drop compared to the seventh day. Morning shows maintained occupancy similar to the previous day, though afternoon, evening, and night show bookings experienced a slight dip.

Jolly LLB 3 Worldwide Total: ₹118 Crore and Counting

With its consistent performance, Jolly LLB 3‘s total All India Net Collection over eight days stands at ₹77 crore 32 lakh. The India Gross Collection for the same period is ₹92 crore 8 lakh. The film has also performed well in overseas markets, collecting ₹26 crore 73 lakh. Cumulatively, Jolly LLB 3‘s worldwide collection for its first eight days has reached ₹118 crore 81 lakh.
