De Call Him O.G. Box Office: A Record-Breaking Opening

The film O.G., starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Imran Hashmi, has achieved the biggest opening of the year, surpassing Rajinikanth’s Coolie. O.G. has garnered a significantly larger opening than all Bollywood and South Indian films released in 2025. Notably, the film’s first-day earnings have already exceeded the lifetime box office collection of Pawan Kalyan’s previous film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

O.G. Advance Booking and Pre-Release Earnings

Even before its release, O.G. generated substantial revenue through advance bookings, crossing the ₹100 crore mark. This is a significant milestone, as no prior film starring Pawan Kalyan had ever secured a ₹100 crore opening on its first day. The film’s makers successfully recovered a substantial amount of its budget through pre-release deals. The digital rights were sold to Netflix for ₹92 crore, satellite rights for ₹34 crore, and music rights for ₹15 crore. Furthermore, the worldwide theatrical rights were sold for ₹170 crore. In total, the producers recouped ₹311 crore from digital, satellite, music, and theatrical rights before the film’s release. The film’s total budget is ₹250 crore.

O.G. Day 1 Box Office Performance Across Regions

On its first day, O.G. received a record-breaking response in South Indian languages. The film was released across 5200 screens worldwide in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, with Telugu being its original language. In the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film earned approximately ₹82 crore 50 lakh. Karnataka contributed around ₹11 crore 70 lakh, while Tamil Nadu saw collections of ₹3 crore 10 lakh. In Kerala, the film’s gross collection was approximately ₹60 lakh. The Hindi version of O.G. received fewer shows and lower first-day earnings. However, the film’s Telugu and Tamil versions also ran in North India, contributing to a combined gross collection of approximately ₹5 crore from all three languages in the region.

O.G. Worldwide First Day Collection

The cumulative All India Gross Collection for O.G. on its first day across all languages reached ₹102 crore 40 lakh. Internationally, the film also received an overwhelming response. On its first day, O.G. collected ₹51 crore 60 lakh from the overseas market. This brings the total First Day World Wide Box Office Collection for O.G. to ₹154 crore.

O.G. Sets New Opening Record for 2025

With a first-day worldwide collection of ₹154 crore, O.G. has set a new benchmark for 2025. Previously, the record for the biggest opening of the year was held by Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which had collected ₹151 crore on its first day. O.G. has now surpassed Coolie, claiming the title for the largest opening of the year. For the film to be considered a box office “Hit,” it needs to achieve a minimum worldwide gross collection of ₹300 crore. A collection of ₹400 crore would make it a “Superhit,” and ₹500 crore would secure a “Blockbuster” status.

Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Update: First Week Collections

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3, released on September 19, has completed its first week in cinemas, achieving strong collections both in India and overseas. The film’s initial seven days’ India Net Collection stood at ₹65 crore 50 lakh. On its sixth day, Jolly LLB 3 earned ₹4 crore 75 lakh at the Indian box office.

Jolly LLB 3 Day 7 Performance and Total Collections

On its seventh day, Jolly LLB 3 experienced a noticeable drop in morning show occupancy compared to the previous day, with bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows also slightly lower. This decline in Day 7 collections, reported at ₹3 crore 90 lakh India Net, was influenced by the release of O.G., which was allocated some screens in the Hindi market. With the Day 7 figures, Jolly LLB 3‘s total India Net Collection for the initial seven days reached ₹74 crore 15 lakh, and its India Gross Collection was ₹88 crore 23 lakh. The film also performed well in international markets, securing an Overseas Gross Collection of ₹25 crore 41 lakh in its first week. Cumulatively, Jolly LLB 3‘s World Wide Collection for the initial seven days amounted to ₹113 crore 64 lakh.
