To be declared a box office hit, Khichdi 2 needs to earn ₹10 crore.

The action film Jigarthanda DoubleX has completed nine days in cinemas, making decent earnings. In its initial seven days, the film recorded a worldwide gross collection of ₹47 crore 14 lakh. On its eighth day, Jigarthanda DoubleX added ₹3 crore 16 lakh to its worldwide collection. The ninth day saw significant growth, with the film collecting ₹4 crore worldwide. Consequently, Jigarthanda DoubleX’s total worldwide collection over nine days stands at ₹53 crore 30 lakh. The film’s budget is ₹50 crore, and with earnings exceeding ₹53 crore in nine days, it is anticipated to continue performing well and potentially become a hit.

Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo has been in cinemas for over a month and is nearing the end of its theatrical run, though limited shows continue in Tamil Nadu. The film’s India gross collection has reached ₹439 crore. Its overseas final collection was ₹203 crore. Overall, Leo’s worldwide total gross collection stands at ₹642 crore, making it a super-duper hit globally. With a budget of ₹200 crore, Leo has grossed double its production cost at the box office.
Tiger 3 Box Office Update: Week 1 Collections
Megastar Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, released during Diwali, has completed one week in cinemas. The film, released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, had a budget of ₹300 crore. As of yesterday, the film’s initial six-day India net collection for its Hindi version was ₹196 crore. The Tamil and Telugu versions contributed ₹50 lakh in six days. This totals Tiger 3’s India net collection across all three languages to ₹201 crore 50 lakh within six days. On its seventh day, early estimates indicate Tiger 3 collected an all-India net of ₹17 crore 50 lakh. With this, Tiger 3’s total India net collection for its first seven days has reached ₹219 crore, and its India gross collection stands at ₹260 crore. For the film to be considered a hit, it needs to achieve a minimum India net collection of ₹350 crore. Globally, Tiger 3 has already surpassed the ₹350 crore mark in the worldwide market during its first week.
Salaar’s Strong USA Advance Bookings
Pan-India superstar Prabhas’s action film Salaar is scheduled for release on December 22nd. Despite being approximately 28 days away from its theatrical debut, the film’s advance booking in the USA began a month prior and has received a strong response. Salaar’s USA premiere advance booking has reached approximately $719,000, which translates to roughly ₹60 lakh in Indian currency. This indicates a very positive reception for Salaar in the USA advance booking market. Notably, Prabhas’s previous film Adipurush holds the record for the biggest Bollywood opener of 2023 with over ₹80 crore in India net collection on its first day and was also the second biggest opener worldwide in 2023. Salaar aims to potentially break these opening day records.
