The Hollywood film Venom 3, starring Tom Hardy, was officially released worldwide today. However, paid preview shows for the film were held in India yesterday, starting after half a day. These previews garnered a strong response, leading to significant earnings at the Indian box office. On its first day, the film received good occupancy across India, right from the morning shows.
Venom 3’s budget is $120 million, which is approximately ₹1000 crore. The film was released in India across 1200 screens in four languages: Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu. The film received an excellent response at the Indian box office from its release. From its paid previews alone, Venom 3 collected a net of ₹5 crore 22 lakh in India. On its first day, the film is set to achieve a net collection of approximately ₹8 crore 50 lakh in the Indian market. The first-day all-India gross collection, including paid previews, stands at ₹16 crore 72 lakh.
Globally, Hollywood reports indicate that Venom 3 is taking an opening of approximately $45 million on its first day worldwide, which converts to ₹380 crore in Indian currency. While the film has secured a solid opening in the worldwide market, its reviews are currently noted as quite average.
Pushpa 2 Release Date and Opening Potential
The pan-India film Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, has a confirmed change in its release date. The film is now set to release on December 5th, one day earlier than previously expected. Producers have officially confirmed this new release date. This update comes alongside significant anticipation for the film across India. If all goes well, Pushpa 2 could achieve a first-day opening much bigger than ₹100 crore at the box office.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Overseas Advance Booking Report
The comedy-horror film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and featuring Vidya Balan, Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, and Tripti Dimri, is scheduled for release on November 1st, with just six days remaining until its debut. While India’s advance booking for the film has not yet commenced, overseas advance bookings have started. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has received a decent response in the overseas market for its advance bookings.
The film’s first-day overseas booking has reached $100,000, followed by $43,000 for the second day, and approximately $22,000 for the third day. The total weekend overseas advance booking collection for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stands at $165,000, which is approximately ₹1 crore 34 lakh in Indian currency.
Singham Again Overseas Advance Booking Performance
Rohit Shetty’s action-packed film Singham Again (Singham 3), starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff, also has six days remaining until its release on November 1st. Similar to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, India’s advance booking for Singham Again has not yet begun, reportedly due to makers vying for more screens. However, there is a high likelihood that India’s bookings for both films will start within the next couple of days.
Overseas bookings for Singham Again started two to three days earlier and have shown a significantly better response compared to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film’s overseas advance booking for the first day is $280,000, for the second day is $320,000, and for the third day is $44,000. This brings Singham Again’s weekend overseas advance booking collection to $644,000. When converted to Indian currency, this amounts to ₹3 crore 82 lakh. The film has nearly reached the ₹4 crore mark in weekend advance bookings overseas. It is noted that currently, only 30-35% of the overseas market bookings have opened for Singham Again, yet it is receiving a strong response.
