Sayaara Box Office Performance: A Mega Blockbuster Run
The musical romantic drama film Sayaara, directed by Mohit Suri and starring Aahan Pandey and Aneet Padda, was released on July 18. Having been in cinemas for over a month, the film continues to earn well despite having very few screens remaining. With a budget of only ₹60-65 crore, Sayaara has significantly surpassed its production cost, already earning the tag of one of Bollywood’s blockbusters for 2025.
Sayaara has achieved an India net collection of ₹337 crore 25 lakh to date. The film’s India gross collection stands at ₹411 crore 38 lakh. Its international performance has also been strong, with an overseas market final collection of ₹168 crore 94 lakh. Cumulatively, Sayaara’s total worldwide box office collection has reached ₹580 crore 32 lakh, making it a mega blockbuster globally by earning more than ₹580 crore against its ₹60 crore budget.
Coolie Box Office Collections: Rajinikanth’s Film Crosses ₹500 Crore Worldwide
Superstar Rajinikanth’s action thriller film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and also featuring Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Satyaraaj, and Shruti Haasan, was released on August 14. The film has completed 14 days in cinemas. Released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, Coolie saw strong collections in its Tamil version and impressive earnings in its Telugu version. Despite fewer screens in the Hindi market, its Hindi collections have been quite good. The film’s budget was ₹375 crore.
Coolie’s India net collection across all languages in its first 12 days was ₹264 crore 71 lakh. On its 13th day, the film added ₹3 crore 36 lakh to its Indian box office earnings. With occupancy showing improvement compared to the previous day, and afternoon, evening, and night show bookings also growing, Coolie is estimated to have collected approximately ₹4 crore 75 lakh in India net collection across all languages on its 14th day. This brings Coolie’s total all-India net collection over 14 days to ₹272 crore 82 lakh. The India gross collection stands at ₹327 crore 38 lakh. The film has also performed strongly overseas, with an overseas gross collection of ₹176 crore 23 lakh. With these figures, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie has amassed a total worldwide box office collection of ₹503 crore 61 lakh, successfully crossing the ₹500 crore mark globally within two weeks.
Param Sundari Advance Booking Update: Strong Pre-Release Hype
The romantic comedy-drama film Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota and featuring the fresh pairing of Siddharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is set to release on August 29. The film’s teaser, trailer, and songs have already been well-received, contributing to significant audience hype. Advance bookings for Param Sundari have commenced nationwide, indicating a strong opening for the film.
The opening day (first day) advance booking collection for Param Sundari has reached ₹2 crore 27 lakh. For Saturday (second day), the booking stands at ₹1 crore 12 lakh, and for Sunday (third day), it is ₹1 crore 46 lakh. This accumulates to a total weekend advance booking of ₹4 crore 85 lakh for the first three days. With the release still a couple of days away, the film is expected to make substantial earnings from advance bookings before its debut. Expectations are high for a double-digit first-day collection in India and strong worldwide earnings.
War 2 Box Office: Two-Week Collection Report
Ayan Mukerji’s action thriller film War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, was released worldwide on August 14 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film has now completed two weeks in cinemas. Despite not meeting initial expectations and facing some negative feedback, War 2 has maintained a strong presence at the box office, continuing to collect crores daily.
War 2 garnered an India net collection of ₹237 crore 61 lakh across all three languages within its first 12 days. On its 13th day, the film added ₹2 crore 84 lakh to its India net collection. Due to a holiday, the film saw better occupancy in morning shows on its 14th day compared to the previous day, with afternoon, evening, and night show bookings also performing better. As a result, War 2 is estimated to collect ₹3 crore 50 lakh in India net collection across all languages on its 14th day. This brings War 2’s total all-India net collection for the first 14 days to ₹243 crore 95 lakh, and it is soon expected to surpass the ₹250 crore mark in India net collection. The film’s India gross collection has reached ₹294 crore 21 lakh. Its overseas gross collection is a decent ₹77 crore 63 lakh. In total, War 2 has achieved a worldwide box office collection of ₹371 crore 84 lakh within 14 days. With the upcoming release of Param Sundari, War 2 is expected to see a reduction in its screen count for its third week.
